The Ashington Shotokan Karate Club venue at the YMCA in Ashington was established in 1988 by Sensei Jill Kelly 5th Dan

The YMCA dojo has now relocated to the Ashington Leisure Centre. Training times remain the same.

The Club Instructors are Sensei Jill F Kelly (5th Dan), Sensei Trish Bruce (4th Dan) and Sensei Keith Burns (5th Dan).

The Senior club Instructor is Sensei Ian Willis (5th Dan) who is the full time Professional Instructor at the Ashington Shotokan Karate Club main dojo . The club was established in 1974. This club is located at Mowbray First School and trains on Monday and Wednesday nights and Ashington Leisure Centre on a Saturday morning. Please see Training times for further details.
