Ashington SKC News Article

This year Sensei Brennan chose this photo of Charlotte Reason kicking Yoko Geri Kekomi at Lake Derwentwater in the Lake District as the winner. He chose this photograph for both the good technique and the good background. Well done Charlotte – who can now have an hour free private lesson with an instructor of her choice!

Despite having less entries than usual, there were several good contenders for first place in the competition this year – more than usual. One other photo Sensei Brennan noticed was Vinnie Henderson practicing Oi Tsuki in the sea at Cambois Beach, which he thought was also good technique and “brave” because surely there must have been sharks in the sea! So this year only we are doing a runner up prize of half an hour private lesson with your chosen instructor – well done Vinnie!

Thank you everyone who entered even in these unusual times. As always, we have loved seeing everyone’s pictures, and thank you to Sensei Brennan for judging the competition once again.
