Ashington SKC News Article

On Saturday 11th May 2019, seven of our students travelled to compete in the 53rd KUGB National Championships, which was held in Morningside Arena, Leicester. This is the largest event on the KUGB calendar, with members from clubs all over the country in attendance, which sets a very high standard to the competition.

A message from Sensei Jill:
“At the KUGB National Championships at Leicester I was pleased to see competitors from our club ranging from novice students under ten years old in the set kumite to experienced adult female and male competitors coming away with finals medals in this most prestigious of competitions. The attitude shown was most pleasing and can only bode well for the future!”.
